We aim to support a diverse range of individuals and community groups across the UK
While we are a national charity, local communities are at the heart of everything we do. The funds we raise provide accessible grants to individuals and community groups who are helping make a positive difference to the individuals they support by building self-confidence, self-esteem and promoting positive mental health.
We ensure that money raised gets invested back into projects within the fundraiser’s locality so our supporters can rest assured they are making a difference in their community.
Region 1 - Bristol
'Grassroot Communities' supports people of all ages to shape and deliver projects based on their wants and needs that positively impacts on their communities. They deliver projects based on youth, community and nature, reconnecting people with their communities and with nature.
Thanks to you, the 401 Foundation has been able to provide them with a small community grant to support the set up and development of a youth led Boxing Gym in Hartcliffe, South Bristol, bringing vulnerable young people off the streets and building their confidence and self esteem.
Region 1 - Hampshire
Muddy Runners has the opportunity to bring the England Athletics initiative ‘#RunAndRevise’, supported by Mind, into three more secondary schools following the success of a six week course held in May 2019. They plan to run each course with one CIRF coach (level two) and one LIRF leader (level one) but would like to up skill four of the team through an online course in mental health and sport to support more schools in their community.
Thanks to you, the 401 Foundation has been able to support them with a small community grant to help them achieve this goal and make a real difference in their local community.
